Customize Your Trip

Budget Version

Skip the guided Karthala hike (a significant expense) and instead take a shared taxi to the village of Karthala for views. Focus on free beaches like Itsandra and Bouni. Eat exclusively at local 'gargotes' for meals under $5.

Luxury Upgrade

Upgrade to a luxury resort like Itsandra Beach Hotel or Le Galawa Beach. Charter a private boat for a day trip to Mohéli Marine Park for whale shark snorkeling (in season). Hire a private driver/guide for the entire weekend.

Family-Friendly

Replace the strenuous Karthala hike with a visit to the Coelacanth Monument and a gentle boat trip from Itsandra to see dolphins. Spend more time at the calm, shallow waters of Chomoni Beach which is safer for children.
